As summer draws to a close, the Hamptons come alive with the promise of one last hurrah at the annual Hampton Classic. This Labor Day weekend event is attended by the who's who of the Hamptons real estate industry. So, when we received an invitation to join Douglas Elliman for lunch at their curated table, we knew we had to jump at the opportunity. From the moment we stepped onto the beautifully manicured showgrounds, we were transported to a world of elegance and equine splendor.
The dining experience with Douglas Elliman was truly unforgettable. We were greeted with a selection of delicious hors d'oeuvres and a refreshing glass of Wölffer Estate Rosé, the perfect way to kick off an afternoon of fine dining and socializing. Agents from all over the East End mingled and shared stories about the gorgeous properties they had just listed or sold. A real sense of community filled the air.
The beauty of the event itself is truly awe-inspiring. The showgrounds are a sea of elegant white tents and perfectly-groomed horses. The equine athletes and their riders exuded a sense of grace and confidence as they took to the arena. The competition is fierce, and the beauty of the sport is undeniable. The show jumping competitions were breathtaking and the crowd was almost as impressive as the horses themselves.
Of course, no visit to the Hampton Classic would be complete without exploring the shopping village. The vendors offer everything from bespoke jackets and handcrafted jewelry to leather saddlery and thrifted designer clothes. The atmosphere is fun and chic, with plenty of opportunities for spontaneous photo-ops and celebrity spotting. The Hampton Classic truly has a charm that is all its own.
Our dining experience came to a close with the presentation of beautifully-packaged gift bags from Douglas Elliman. These included branded Elliman fans, luxe candles, & matches. As we bid our goodbyes to new friends and colleagues, we left with a sense of gratitude for the wonderful day. Attending an event like the Hampton Classic is a reminder of the luxury and beauty that comes with living in such a special place.
After the event, we joined other top brokers in Douglas Elliman's company at the Wölffer Wine Stand for a celebratory sunset cocktail party. The party was a testament to how Douglas Elliman is driving business during and economically challenging season. The company is known for its outstanding customer service, luxury property and leading edge in the industry— and attending the event was a way of solidifying that commitment to us and to our clients.
